Story 1: Title:  Palmetto Bay - They say Waze and Google wrecked their neighborhood. Their response? A block party. Now the city wants to build a bridge that will inevitably cause more congestion. Problem Presented: Traffic apps are causing congestion for a community and the city is about to further this issue by building a bridge to make it more convenient for drivers to go through the community. Who has the problem: The residents of the community that the bridge is being built at. Story 2: Title:  This building put Miami on the global design map. But that won't stop its demolition. 1. An opportunity exists in my large apartment complex. There is one dumpster on one end of the complex that everyone must use. No one likes to take their garbage bags and walk a quarter mile and back just to dispose of their waste. The opportunity lies with a company willing to pick up the trash door to door so no one needs to be inconvenienced. 2. Unmet need: There is only one dumpster and it is located inconveniently to a majority of the complex. Who has this need: My entire apartment complex and most likely many more. Where did it come from: It has been around since apartment complexes have been around. What is being done now: People are walking to the dumpster to dispose of their trash. 3. Prototypical Customer: The people who live in the same apartment complex as me. 4.         1. The drive thru line at Chic-fil-a on Archer, becomes ridiculously long at lunch time. It backs out into the street. - Bug exists because it is such a popular restaurant on a major road during everyones lunch break, near a college campus.         2. There are shopping carts in parking lots that block me from parking at times. - People are too lazy to walk the carts back to the store or even place into the cart holders in the parking lot.                 3. I can hear a lot of things going on in the apartments surrounding me. - The walls are very thin in the complexes near a college campus.         4. There is heavy traffic on the interstate near Orlando during rush hour traffic. - So many people are getting off work that the roads get extremely congested.         5. Being an entrepreneur isn't a hard trait to acquire, but it is difficult to master. The more knowledge you have, the better off you will be. There have been multiple opportunities for me to obtain more information and learn from others and myself about entrepreneurship. I attended a gathering in the auditorium of the community college I was previously at, in which a guest speaker who successfully started a company gave insight as to how. He spoke of how he saw a problem, found a solution to it but had no money to make it happen. He lucky won a small lottery of a couple thousand dollars and was able to start his company. He began networking with others and found the cheapest place to make a quality product. Next he needed a way to market his product. His break through in this aspect was his appearance on shark tank. After the episode aired, over night his sales exploded and money started pouring in instantly. It took a lot of planning, time to perfect, and little bit of luck, but ...
