1. Segment: Middle aged men who have families but need to commute 30 minutes or more every day for work near Miami, and are regularly caught in traffic on their drives through highways. 3. Awareness: All three men were in agreement that there is much need for more express lanes. They all expressed their annoyance with the amount of traffic they hit every day. This was made even more irritating by the fact that they all hit rush hour traffic and were having to leave much earlier than usual in order to compensate for the amount of traffic they normally encounter. Transcript: Hi. My name is Stephan Victor. I'm an entrepreneur and an avid commuter on long drives to both Gainesville and Miami. The long trips have become a part of my lifestyle, but they take up so much of my time with routine traffic jams which are seemingly made just to put me behind schedule. I do not stand alone in my vexation of the long drives with angry and sporadic drivers, random accidents which cause extended lane closures and the timely yet bothersome rush hours. There is a way around such maddening drives which tend to do nothing but put people in a bothersome mood. One such escape route is an express lane.  Now there are multiple express lanes put up throughout major cities, but there are not nearly enough to put a seize to such nettlesome traveling ventures. Interviewed people of my home town in Rockledge, Fl to get the information needed for this assignment. Who: The people of who live on the outskirts of big cities and don't need to deal with the traffic caused in the heart of the city, people who live in small cities where there isn't ever any traffic or congestion, people who don't drive cars but rather bike to the places they need to reach. What: The need in in these areas is differed from those in the heart of Miami because the issue of traffic isn't as prominent. Although there may sometimes be traffic, it is generally lighter, and it is much more rare than it is in larger cities. So while traffic is still a bother, there isn't enough of a problem being caused for the opportunity of an express way to be successful. 1. The Problem I presented previously was that traffic in Miami is terrible. There is hardly a time on either the highway, turnpike, or a major road in the heart of the city where there isn't heavy congestion. 2. The potential solution that I came up with was to open express lanes that people would pay for to use, but then they would be by passing the traffic jams and saving a lot of time. This would be done with a sun pass like concept. You could buy a transmitter to place in your car that pays automatically when you get on, or you can stop and pay a toll at the booth before entering the express lanes. 

Opportunity: Drivers in Miami are unable to get to places in a timely manner because there is constantly traffic on all the major roads. Because of this, opening up an express lane in which drivers pay to use may be beneficial. Who: The drivers of Miami. What: Can't get anywhere in a timely manner while driving. Why: There are always accidents and massive congestion on all of the major roads. Interviews Overview: Throughout the interviews I was given largely mixed reviews. A majority of the people I talked to told me they didn't have the money or even have a car to use the service. These people stated that they understood the service and see how it could benefit the drivers using it but said it wouldn't effect them as they use buses and bikes to get around. The more people I talked to, the less appealing this business idea seemed.
